I’m So Sorry!

August 29, 2009

Ugh, you guys, I have completely abandoned Amber and Julia for so long…I don’t even know how long! But I’m a high school student, and school has started, and it’s just hard to get  posts in on time. But I’ll tell you another reason why I haven’t posted – I started playing another sim in another neighborhood, and that story would progress much better without me having to struggle to think of something to write. So…let me tell you what that one, and tell me what you think. This is what it would be:

I made Lila Morris – a cute, feisty redhead who was made homeless by her parents’ untimely death. She has no family to take care of her, and absolutely no money. The blog would be about her trying to make it and what gets in her way. But at the beginning there wouldn’t be that many pictures, because I wasn’t really intending at first for this to be a blog. But if you like this idea, or want more information, COMMENT COMMENT COMMENT! =) I need input, or I won’t know what to do! Thanks. =)

Okay, let’s see what else I can tell you without giving anything away…Lila’s traits are as follows: Light Sleeper, Artistic, Bookworm, Kleptomaniac, and the other escapes me at the moment…oh yeah, and her lifetime wish is to become a Star News Anchor, but I think she’s got the hidden trait Commitment Issues…XD…she doesn’t want to settle down and get a job, that’s clear from her actions…

Lila’s story sounds interesting, but I like the idea about different twins as well, maybe even more! :) I’m sorry that I have simply forgotten to follow your story recently :O Now I’m going to read it! -_-

Yeah, but Amber and Julia’s story is simply not going anywhere, because what I had wanted to do with them, I realized that I couldn’t do. I came up with that idea before I even bought sims 3, and now I know that it won’t work. If I switch to Lila’s story, I know that what I want to do will work, it can progress better, and Amber and Julia can still be a part of it, since I made a copy of the town that they already lived in. And it’s okay if you forgot to follow, I haven’t been posting. =)

There are so many homeless sim stories after Alice and Kev I’m not sure it would be a good idea.It does sound interesting but I want to read something original and new.

I think first and foremost, you need to find a story that interests you. If the homeless story is the one that intrigues you, then go with it.

I will share my concerns that there are a lot of homeless stories out there, and most of the ones I have seen died rather quick deaths. It could be that like you they weren’t finding the time for it with getting back to school. It could be also that they just ran out of ideas. Make sure it’s going to be a story that is going to last beyond one or two posts.

Finally, don’t be afraid if the beginning of the story is more text driven. That happened with my story at the beginning. Now it’s been two months and it has a good combination of text and story.

I definitely had ideas for Lila’s story, and it would last for a while. And yeah, I did think about the fact that there are a lot of homeless stories, and that some people would write it off as just another one of them, but I’ve never seen the ideas that I have for mine used in anyone else’s…what I was going to do was just blog about Lila’s story and have Amber and Julia as frequent characters…Lila’s story REALLY interests me…but thank you guys for your answers, you’ve really helped me with all of this. I’ll think it over tonight, and as soon as I’m done with my homework, I’ll try to get another post up letting you guys know what I’m going to do. Thanks! =)
